Intro to Daniel
Daniel was an exile deported from Jerusalem in 605BC and taken to Babylon. The book of Daniel is a combination of stories of courage in the face of persecution, as Daniel and his friends live God’s way as foreigners in Babylon, and visions, both interpreted by Daniel and experienced by Daniel.
As we study this book we will see outstanding examples of courageous holiness, God’s judgement on worldly arrogance and visions that assure Daniel, and us, that God is the Lord of History with Christ at the centre.
